Ppolyphenol rich brainolyphenols are a combination of chemicals found in the body.  Flavonoids, which are another type of polyphenol, are often found in high concentrations in cocoa and dark chocolate. You will not find flavonoids in regular chocolate because most of the flavonoids are lost during the chocolate making process. Dark chocolate is the only type of chocolate that retains flavonoids, but why and how is not really known. Since dark chocolate retains the flavonoids, you can use the excuse of eating it as being healthy because the flavonoids in the dark chocolate can help you lower your risk of cardiovascular disease. Nuts are another type of food that is high in polyphenols; the polyphenols that you find in nuts are carotenoids, phenols, and phytosterols. The nuts that contain the highest amounts of these polyphenols are hazelnuts, almonds, and walnuts. OResveratrol Weight Lossne of the most popular reasons that people are interested in taking resveratrol is that it has been claimed to be a great way to lose weight. People claim that studies have been done that’s how resveratrol, whether taken as a supplement or in its natural form, is a very effective form of weight loss. While people claim that resveratrol is an effective form of weight loss, not all of the studies show that to be true, In fact most studies show that resveratrol is not an effective weight loss solution, even though it can help you to lose weight. The one thing that you need to think about when it comes to resveratrol and weight loss is that all of the studies that have been done have been done on mice. These studies show that when giving high amounts of resveratrol mice have lost weight. The problem is that the studies have not been done on any humans, so there is no proof positive that resveratrol is going to be the next big thing with weight loss. Although it does seem that weight loss and resveratrol are connected, even though no studies have been done to provide exact proof. One of the weight loss benefits of resveratrol is it is an appetite suppressor, as many other antioxidants are. When you take an increased amount of resveratrol you will not be as hungry during the day, which is going to help you lose weight. The reason that resveratrol is an appetite suppressor is because of how high its antioxidant content is, the lower the antioxidant content the lower your chances of using it for weight loss. Another weight loss benefit of resveratrol is that it helps speed up your metabolism, the faster your metabolism the more calories that you will be burning. Another benefit to speeding up your metabolism is that you are going to have more energy. The more energy that you have during the day the more likely you will be to exercise at least once during the day. The more calories that you burn during any given day the easier it will be for you to lose weight. The one thing you want to think about when using resveratrol to help you with weight loss is that it is not something that can be used alone. You will want to use resveratrol supplements coupled with other antioxidants to enhance the power of the resveratrol. Doing this will increase your chances of being successful at losing weight, along with a healthy diet and exercise. Continue Reading
